Theater to host pet party

Peoria Independent Film and Event Center will host a "Rescue Party Tour" on Tuesday. "Tom McPhee’s An American Opera: The Greatest Pet Rescue Ever" – about the thousands of pets displaced by Hurricane Katrina – is set for 7 p.m., followed by a Q & A with the director. Travis Tritt headlines festival

Tickets are on sale now for Travis Tritt, (pictured at right) who will perform July 11 at CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing as part of the CopperFire Music Festival.
